Instructor Development Specialist
ICA Languages Services is actively seeking an experienced Instructor Development Specialist, to create and deliver workshops to instructors of intensive foreign language acquisition for government employees.
The essential skills are to deliver and create presentations, talks, and interactive sessions that connect with teachers to grow their capabilities to deliver efficient, professional instruction. Relevant Master's, Ph.D. Preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered so you can grow into all aspects of the position.
This is a salaried, full-time role, at our facility in Arlington, VA. The Instructor Development Specialist (IDS) reporting to our Academic Advisor, will be responsible for the design and execution of programs that use new and evolving trends in teaching methodologies, foreign language acquisition, learning management systems, and adult teaching/andragogy, to aid instructors in achieving student success.

Instructor Development Responsibilities:
Generally working autonomously, the IDS must be able to communicate with, actively participate in, and share responsibility and rewards to build our team capability, as we strive toward advancing the careers of our students. The IDS is responsible for planning, coordinating, improving, and implementing our instructor pre-service and in-service training programs, using synchronous and asynchronous modules in our learning management system, ICA Learn.
This requires identifying areas for teacher professional development and for assisting teachers on PIP. Additional development of ICA Learn to support instructors with a wide range of students and agencies and maximize its use in the classroom.
