What You Will Contribute to OHM Advisors

OHM Advisors' internship and co-op program encourage students to submit their resume and inquire about an internship or co-op that would best fit their needs. Internships and co-ops are offered year-round and typically last up to four months.  As a co-op/intern, you will be introduced to and involved in various engineering projects from conception to completion.  With a variety of diverse projects and services being offered in the Greater Louisville office, the selected candidate(s) will have exposure to a multitude of project types and disciplines, promoting opportunities to specialize in areas of greatest interest and aptitude.

Once integrated and performing in the team environment, this position offers hybrid work schedules, including a balance of office and work-from-home scheduling.

 

Your Responsibilities

• Assist project engineers in the application of principles, methods, and design techniques of engineering.
• Collaborate with teams to solve problems and complete projects.
• Assist in developing design documents utilizing Civil 3D.
• Support GIS efforts including data analyses, map/exhibit development, etc.
• Assist with site visits, problem assessments, data collection and other related field work.
• Construction observation.

What You Will Need to Succeed

• Current enrollment in a college program – studying civil engineering, environmental engineering, water resource engineering, or construction management
• Excellent oral communication skills
• Willingness to collaborate with a team and problem solve
• Proficiency in basic computer functions & Microsoft Office software
• Basic AutoCAD/Microstation experience preferred, Civil 3D experience a plus.
• Material testing certifications is a plus

Education

• Some college or better in Civil Engineering or related field
