Position Summary
As the Region Sales Finance Assistant, you are the glue between the Sales SR Directors and the SGWS Finance Lead. You will build insights and use analytics to inform business decisions in your regions and local markets. You will be helping build trust between distributors, wholesalers, and Sales teams to sustain growth, profitability and brand attractiveness for CBI.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Participate in Division/State meetings with sales to understand trends and give context to the financial data
Create, review and process distributor credit requests and 3rd party vendor invoices for payment ensuring accuracy in the account coding and dollars submitted, to include price support and non-price support
Own Customer Quantity Discount(CQD) Forecast and Tracking process for CA: Validate forecast with National Accounts team, drive accountability with post mortem analysis, track invoicing vs forecast and CQD bank management
Use online financial support system (SAP) to track and report on actuals, budgets and remaining balance on price and non-price codes
Create ad hoc reporting on volume trends, brand, distributor revenue, and channel analysis
Perform post analysis of program payback and present learnings to Sales and the SGWS Sales Finance Lead for future recommendations. Building and maintaining what-if financial models that translate data into actionable information
Assist with all distributor bank reconciliations, non-price tracking/analysis, monthly closing/reporting responsibilities. Work with distributor partners to clear AR including disputed invoices.
Participate in other business unit activities such as Sales & Distributor meetings, market & pricing surveys, and account activations
Minimum Qualifications
Experienced and qualified finance professional with 1-2 years' relevant experience
BBA or bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred
Demonstrated strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Experienced with and ability to manipulate large data sets and summarize key results
Results oriented, able to complete assignments in a timely and accurate manner, and able to manage competing priorities
Highly proficient use of Excel, PowerPoint & other Microsoft products
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (less than 25%)
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of CPG retail and/or space management experience
1+ years of distributor or retail store management experience
Knowledge of SAP and Hyperion
