Automation Engineer (Finance)
Provide Automation Engineering design and project management for assigned projects including meetings, schedule, cost management, design reviews, supplier selection, installation management, etc.
Respect electrical design standards and PLC programming methodology in equipment designs.
Create budgetary estimates, specifications, and bid packages for supplier quotes on assigned projects.
Create project documentation as required- electrical designs, programs, technical offers, safety risk assessment, maintenance and operator training documents, user manuals, etc.
Facilitate the order of equipment and materials for assigned projects.
Facilitate emulation and simulation activities for assigned projects.
Provide equipment acceptance inspections during factory acceptance testing and installation.
Provide management of electrical supplier or maintenance installation teams during equipment installations through start-up and commissioning.
Follow and complete resolution of project non-conformities.
Interface with production and maintenance customers, engineers, and suppliers.
Provide training on new equipment or modifications to maintenance and operations teams.
Provide automation technical support for troubleshooting plant equipment breakdowns if necessary.
Coordination of engineering project deliverables from all engineering contributors on the project team.
Supplying engineering estimates including equipment, installation labor, design and startup engineering, travel, and managing project cost evolution.
Creation and management of project schedule including design engineering, procurement, installation, startup, and qualification activities.
Equipment procurement including specifications for RFQ process, purchase order, tracking supplier progress and managing equipment acceptance at the supplier.
Contributing to equipment safety and ergonomic risk assessment evaluation with the receiving plant.
Organizing on-site equipment reception, installation, startup, ramp-up including managing customer acceptance criteria with the receiving plant.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, or Associate's Degree with equivalent technical experience.
Preferred 5+ years of automation engineering experience.
Preferred 2+ years of engineering project management experience.
Experience with PLC control systems beneficial.
Design software includes AutoCAD and Inventor
AGV or ASRS project management, installation, and commissioning experience a plus.
Robotic experience is preferred, but not required.
Solid teamwork, communication, and planning skills required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and resolve issues.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).

Duties are performed in an industrial environment.
