PPG Aerospace has a Training Manager opportunity available at our Grand Prairie, Texas facility. The role will have direct responsibility for the training plan structure, all activities of the local trainers, as well as oversite of new hire onboarding. The oversite duties include design and development of a training plan, requesting staffing hires, coordination with recruiting on interviewing and hiring process, onboarding of new employees and continued support of local ongoing training and development programs. Key Responsibilities:
Designs and develops an effective training plan for the staff and P&M workforces.
Supports the collective bargaining agreement's "Pay for Skills" approach.
Knowledgeable and skilled of a company's workforce.
Ensures the workforce is performing these skills in a safe and accurate manner.
Ensures all Quality and MRP driven activities are adhered to throughout the process.
Ensures that a company has a workforce that can meet its current and future business objectives and deliver quality products and services that meet customers' needs.
Develops skills and help individuals reach their potential.
Work with the area SME's and training staff to ensure that all aspects of the training curriculum are met. The training staff will report to the training manager.
Develops testing processes that will ensure an employee has obtained the expected knowledge along with a system to optimally detail these accomplishments.
Ensures that the employee is capable and able in a consistent manner to demonstrate these new skills.
Bachelor's degree in a technical, manufacturing, or educational field preferred.
Minimum 5 years' experience designing or working in training or education systems
Knowledge of defined aerospace manufacturing processes preferred
Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO9000 quality systems required.
Good Organizational Skills.
Adaptable, Collaborative, and Patient.
Strong Communication Skills.
Digital literacy in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
