The Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting position requires a four-year undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting or Finance. Typically, the candidate will have five to eight years of professional accounting experience. Must have demonstrated ability to work effectively with ERP systems and financial reporting applications and have a proven knowledge of accounting principles and concepts. The candidate is expected to be customer service oriented, a strong collaborator, and display the ability to lead ad hoc teams. Key skills include the ability to work independently, initiative, effective communication, analysis, judgment, creative problem solving, and a passion for achieving success.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Ensure the accuracy of reported sales data for sector and legal entity financial statements by managing the financial reporting accounting process.
2. Manage the ATR month end close system data flow integrity from SAP to corporate financial reporting systems (HFM,Anaplan).
3. Assist Corporate Reporting, Finance, and other internal customers by analyzing financial information, preparing monthly reporting schedules and Ad Hoc reports,and resolving questions and issues related to financial statement and sales reporting.
4. Support the development, testing, and implementation of changes to accounting processes as required by the business or Controller's office
5. Identify, recommend, and participate in the implementation of process transformation opportunities, at times leading such implementations.
6. Manage SAP COPA through collaboration with business unit and master data teams to resolve issues and implement changes related to profit center, cost center, account mapping, product hierarchy, and other master data changes.
7. Complete assigned system, module and account reconciliations related to month end closing process
8. Support SOX controls over financial reporting and revenue accounting. Provide support for interim and year end internal and external audits.
