Regional Treasury Analyst (Finance)

Lonza Morristown is seeking a Senior Analyst in the Americas Treasury Department at Lonza who will oversee day-to-day banking operations for the US and Canada, reporting to the Head of Treasury for North America. The incumbent will also assist with treasury projects for US and Canadian entities and take the lead on others as the scope of the department is expanded. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone looking to grow in a role with regional responsibility for treasury operations reporting to a Group Treasury team.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor daily cash needs for US and Canada to ensure adequate liquidity and coordinate with Group Treasury on related cash position, including providing forecasts weekly for overall cash planning
Monitor US and Canada intercompany and third-party cash flows related to financing (monthly netting settlement, monthly A/R sale settlement, ad-hoc intercompany lending/deposit and FX trade, etc) as necessary and submit payment requests as needed to the Shared Service Center (SSC)
Update intercompany and third-party debt portfolios monthly for interest accruals and cash payments to assist General Accounting with book close
Lead and train on new FX hedging process in the US for intercompany billings in non-US currencies
Serve as primary administrator on banking and merchant portals, including CitiDirect, BoA CashPro, Chase Paymentech, AMEX and PNC First Data
Analyze bank fees in US and Canada with a view toward reducing overall costs and and bank account architecture to look for possibilities for rationalization
Maintain KYC and authorized signatory information for US and Canada bank accounts as required
Coordinate with General Accounting, Payroll and Benefits and the SSC as required on general cash management matters
Assist Head of Treasury, North America with Treasury projects and take the lead on others as assigned
Key requirements:
Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting; graduate degree a plus
Significant experience in corporate finance, preferably in a treasury, banking or cash management role
CFA or CTP a plus
Eager to learn, proactive and self-motivated
Experience with SAP ERP and/or FIS Integrity Treasury workstation a plus
FX-related experience a plus
Ability to work both as part of a team and independently, managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast pace environment with the ability to deliver results
