Senior IT Project Manager (Finance)

Essential Functions:
Business Objectives:
Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application, operational, and technology requirements.
Collaborate with technology group and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision, while analyzing the tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirement workshops, surveys, customer shadowing, business process descriptions, use cases scenarios, business analysis and workflow analysis.
Drive business process change through new business initiatives leveraging applications and technologies.
Leverage acquired knowledge about employee needs in order to relate those needs to IT.
Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams.
Create and grow high-level internal customer relationships, understand the customers' needs and help them to achieve their business objectives.
Continually work to achieve business objectives and meet the objectives measureable.
Project Management:
Extensive understanding of project management and project management principles, methods and techniques
Ensure that projects are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget, and defined quality standards.
Establish the project statement of work and specifications.
Successfully engage as SCRUM master by managing multiple project initiatives simultaneously and business case creation as needed
Conduct yearly review and update of P&C IT Scrum Team Charter
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, assemble high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true business needs.
Manage project changes and change authorization.
Serve as conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team
Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements of business systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
Deliver effective project updates at all phases of the project, including the executive level.
Manage project gaps and issues and help drive the team to resolution.
Assist team members with roadblock resolution.
Adhere to P&C processes and best practices.
Define successful project success criteria and evaluation methods.
Leadership:
Coach, mentor, and motivate project teams.
Support and encourage individual enhancement of team members through opportunity and education.
Work to ensure team members meet personal growth and business objectives.
Identify and help to grow Subject Matter Experts throughout various P&C departments.

Utilize prior experience with enterprise-wide applications to define and change current methodologies.
