Industrial Engineer (Marketing)



The Industrial Engineer utilizes analytical approaches and fact-based information in developing innovation strategy and continuous improvements that integrate human system material energy information and technology resources. Develops solutions that are balanced between operational financial customer service employee and customer considerations. Provides leadership and assistance to Engineering or Technology related projects or functions. Interacts with plant and corporate management.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Analyze & review processes and technology to identify opportunities for innovation, continuous improvement, and cost reductions.

- Reconcile machine and material specifications with budgeted accounts to develop a systematic costing system for all Company products.

- Revise cost systems as necessary due to equipment changes, job method improvements, procurement and/or shipping changes, etc.

- Design and upgrade facility layouts as needed utilizing CAD software.

- Maintain a Company defined work measurement standards database, for direct and indirect labor, that is utilized to calculate production facility staffing requirements.

- Designs, establishes, and distributes facility productivity reports for controlling and improving labor costs & machine efficiency/utilization.

- Assist in preparing and executing project proposals and participate in special projects as requested by the VP Engineering & Process Quality or other senior company officers.EXPERIENCE:

- 0-5 years of professional experience.

- Production/Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.

- Excellent communication/people skills.

- Previous switchboard experience a plus but not required.

- Must have skills to pay attention to detail and the ability to be a team player.

- Must possess positive attitude.

- Typing speed of 50+ WPM.

- Must have good organizational skills must be able to multi-task and prioritize work to meet deadlines.

EDUCATION:

- High School Diploma or GED (Required)

- Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)

- Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field or equivalent.

- Project Management Certification a plus.

- Knowledge of AutoCAD & Production Simulation a plus.

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel Word Access PowerPoint) and AutoCAD.

- Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma principles a plus.Salary: $60,000 - $70,000

\nThe ultimate compensation offered for the position will depend upon several factors such as skill level, cost of living, experience, and responsibilities.
