Float Director of Nursing - RN (Transportation)



Float Director of Nursing (RN) in Ft. Wayne

The Floating Director of Nursing is responsible for supporting clinical services and practices at American Senior Communities (ASC) facilities throughout Central Indiana

  • No Staffing On-Call
  • Flexible Schedule
  • No Weekends or Holidays
  • Reports to Home Office Clinical Team

Responsibilities Include:

  • Travel to designated ASC communities, as needed, in support of clinical roles, compliance, and delivery of best practices in resident care.
  • Provide clinical oversight to community resident care operations.
  • Acting as community interim Director of Nursing, may include providing RN license in designated ASC communities in need of nurse leadership support.
  • Clinical on-call support (no staffing on-call required).
  • When no director of nursing positions open provide regional facility support in other nurse manager roles.

Requirements:

  • Current Indiana Registered Nurse license
  • Minimum of one year of Director of Nursing experience in the long-term care setting
  • Must be available to work varying hours, including evenings
  • Knowledge of current Federal and State laws and regulations that apply to practice of nursing in long-term care.
  • Ability to travel throughout Fort Wayne and Northeast Indiana markets as needed.
