Sr. Director of Data and Metrics Governance (Construction)
We are looking for a Senior Director of Data Science to lead our Data, Metrics and Reporting Tools governance. The governance team will own the data stewardship of critical data assets, create metrics governance process, manage the usage of data tools across Shipt. The leader will have high-influence among executive team and will need to focus on Metrics and Reporting Governance strategy, process and tools. The team will design, develop and implement governance processes and tools for Data tables, Metrics and Reporting dashboards.
You will get experience working with a cross-disciplinary team shipping real-world products to our customers around the nation. You will also receive hands-on mentorship from your friendly teammates on topics ranging from design to career advice
Hire and build out team of 5 in approximately 12 months.
Partner with Finance, Product, Marketing, Engineering, and Operations leadership to formulate data and metrics governance requirements, best practices and strategy
Build the scope for Metrics governance and create a roadmap for implementing metrics governance process and tools.
Build the scope for Reporting/Dashboarding governance and create a roadmap for implementing governance process and tool
Develop a team who can act as Data Stewards across various domains and can develop the deep knowledge of domain specific data
Regularly partner with Executive team to showcase progress and help in critical decision making
5+ years of leading Data and Metrics governance in any technology org.
3+ years of experience engaging and communicating with executive team
Strong cross-functional influencing and process design skills
3+ years on strong Data program management experience
Solid understanding of Metrics and ETL technologies
Familiarity with Tableau or any other BI tools
Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience interfacing with high level stakeholders
