The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in medical imaging and a deep understanding of human anatomy, with the ability to integrate imaging techniques into the teaching of anatomical structures and functions.

The successful applicant will engage in both didactic and practical instruction, utilizing radiological images and ultrasound to enhance students' understanding of anatomy. This individual will also provide specialized sessions on imaging within various organ system courses. Additionally, the role includes mentoring and career counseling for students interested in radiology.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Teaching & Curriculum Development:Teach medical students anatomy with an emphasis on the role of radiology in anatomical visualization. Develop and deliver engaging lectures, workshops, and practical sessions using radiological images (e.g., X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasound) to integrate biomedical sciences, clinical sciences, and radiologic applications.
  2. Student Engagement & Mentorship:Mentor students in radiological aspects of anatomy, providing guidance on the interpretation of imaging studies and facilitating critical thinking about imaging anatomy in a clinical context. Be a source for advising students on interest in careers involving radiology.
  3. Interdisciplinary Collaboration:Collaborate with faculty to integrate imaging techniques into broader educational and clinical training programs but initially concentrating on the CAHD course.
  4. Clinical Integration:Develop case-based learning sessions that involve clinical scenarios where radiological imaging is critical to the diagnosis and understanding of anatomical structures.
  5. Assessment & Evaluation:Assess student progress by reviewing results with the primary course director(s) to ensure student understanding of the radiologic correlation to the topics covered. Such feedback will foster a deeper understanding of the anatomical concepts through radiologic imagery.
  6. Research and Continuous Learning:Stay up-to-date with advances in radiology, medical imaging technologies, and anatomy education. Based on availability and interest there is opportunity to engage in research related to medical imaging, anatomy teaching methods, or the integration of imaging in medical education.

Qualifications:
  • Education: MD, DO, or equivalent with board certification in Radiology.
  • Experience: Significant experience in clinical radiology, with strong knowledge of human anatomy and radiological imaging techniques, including ultrasound. Previous teaching experience in a medical or educational setting is desired.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • In-depth knowledge of radiologic anatomy and diagnostic imaging principles.
    • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Interest in innovative teaching methodologies and medical education research.

Additional Requirements:
