Senior Manager of Accounting Policy and SOX (Personal Services)

Our Senior Manager of Accounting Policy and SOX will play a critical role in developing and maintaining global accounting policies that are consistent and repeatable as well as ensuring our control framework and management assertions are well supported with appropriate, contemporaneous documentation.

Responsibilities
You Will . . .
- Develop and maintain the Company's Accounting Policies (US GAAP and potentially IFRS) and ensure they are complete, accurate and are appropriate for how the business is managed.
- Ensuring the accountants and business understand the policies and how to access these policies.
- Review and update SOX control framework (including narratives/flowcharts) to ensure that it is complete, accurate and the controls match the business operations. Additionally, ensuring that the controls are adequately managed at the business level where only the most important controls are the focus of the framework.
- Create and summarize the company's SOX scoping on a global level to support management's assertions as required by SOX.
- Work closely with auditors and manage auditor request for quarterly reviews and annual.
- Create and perform analytical reviews of external and management results.
- Collaborate closely with peers, managers on process improvements, system and reporting enhancements and analysis of monthly and quarterly results.
- Manage and complete special projects as necessary.

Qualifications
The Experience You Will Bring (Minimum Requirements):
- Bachelors or better in Accounting or related field
- 8-10 years: Progressive accounting experience (public accounting required)
- CPA (Cert Public Accountant)
- Accounting Policy and SOX experience at a large multi-entity retail/services/multiple locations or multi-national retail/services/multiple locations company required
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP
- In-depth knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley rules and regulations (controls and scoping)
What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
- Masters or better in Accounting or related field
- Big 4 experience and some corporate experience preferred
