Maintenance Tech II(Full-time, 40 hours a week, M-F 7:30a-4p, evening/call/weekend/holiday rotation) (Finance)
Visually inspects and tests air handling machinery and equipment.
Reviews work orders to determine work priorities.
Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
Purchases parts or supplies for maintenance of equipment upon approval of supervisor.
Repairs and maintains physical structure and equipment of establishment.
Performs tasks using appropriate safety devices provided by the facility.
Coordinates bio-medical equipment program with responsible vendor.
Assists in maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, or air required for operations.
Assists in planning, developing, and implementing new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
Assists in snow removal and maintenance of grounds.
Responsible for rotation of departmental call duties. Must be able to respond to the call duties within 30 minutes.

While performing the duties of this job, employees frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places; in outside weather conditions; and with explosives and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and extreme heat.
The level of risk of exposure to blood borne pathogens is Classification II, as outlined in the Hepatitis B Vaccine Program Policy.
The noise level in the work environment is usually high.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.)
Minimum of one to two years of prior mechanical and/or carpentry experience or training.
COMPETENCIES/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
