Project Manager III (Construction)

ROLE SUMMARY/PURPOSE:
The Project Manager III (PM III) leads highly complex or high-value projects, serving as the primary point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders across engineering, production, and logistics. This individual ensures successful execution of projects from contract to delivery, proactively manages risk, drives schedule adherence, and contributes to business process improvement initiatives. The PM III also plays a key leadership role by mentoring junior project managers, supporting strategic planning, and collaborating cross-functionally to support company growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end project execution and serve as senior point of contact for major high-impact, multi-phase, or strategic projects.Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation with minimal oversight.Serve as the senior liaison between the client, engineering, production, and field services.Anticipate and resolve complex technical and logistical challenges across multiple disciplines.Drive collaboration across departments to ensure timely production and delivery.
Proactively manage customer expectations and provide regular updates on project status.Participate in client meetings, site visits, and preconstruction reviews.Represent Locke Solutions in client-facing roles that require technical depth and communication skill.
Collaborate with sales, estimating, and engineering teams during preconstruction to support accurate proposals and project planning.Engage in value-engineering efforts and cost-saving initiatives with design and production teams.Lead internal improvement efforts around processes, tools, and reporting systems.Monitor and proactively address project risks related to safety, budget, scope, and schedule.
Support resolution of technical and contractual disputes with customers or vendors.Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, design specifications, and internal standards.
SUCCESSFUL RESULTS:
Deliver projects on time, within scope, and on budget with minimal rework or escalation.Successfully manage multiple high-complexity projects simultaneously.Build and maintain customer trust through excellent communication and execution.Mentor junior team members and elevate the performance of the project management function.Contribute to continuous improvement in processes, documentation, and project reporting.Demonstrate sound judgment in balancing competing priorities and constraints.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.5+ years of experience in project management within construction, manufacturing, or a related field.Proven track record managing complex, large-scale, or multi-stakeholder projects.Strong technical understanding of precast concrete, construction processes, or engineering principles.
Familiarity with ERP or project tracking systems (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet).
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities.Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.Ability to travel to job sites and client meetings as needed.
PMP certification or equivalent project management training is preferred.Experience in the construction or manufacturing industry is a plus.
