Manage major capital investment projects. Provide assistance and manage electrical disciplines of other approved capital projects
Manage all plant substation maintenance and distribution of plant electricity
Manage maintenance on the plant emergency generators to ensure reliable source of electricity for critical circuits
Manage various facility maintenance projects for all plant substations including: Transformers, switchgear, and distribution equipment items with the use of contractors and Vallourec personnel
Track and log utility costs for electricity and natural gas. Ensure our plant operations are in compliance with the electrical contract of our utility. Track pricing for proper management and accounting purposes
Conduct predictive maintenance on all oil filled transformers to ensure maximum life
Maintain compliance with FCC for all licensed radio frequency devices in the plant
Maintain technical documents and prints, including drawing changes and updates. Ensure all documents and prints are easily available for all plant personnel. Work with vendors to assure complete updated drawing management
Accountable for the technical support of assigned facility maintenance area and daily problem solving/analysis
Accountable for coordinating and performing all equipment drawing updates/revisions for assigned facility maintenance area
Accountable for communicating with maintenance, operation supervisors, and process engineers solving and preventing various issues for the mill
Communicates the best practices with the internal and external of the plant through the group “Knowledge Management”
Responsible for preparing and responding to any/all audits for facility maintenance area
Responsible for establishment of priorities with Reliability
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE:
Strong communication skills
Knowledge and skills in AutoCAD, MS EXCEL, MS Project and MS Office Suite
Capable of working independently in a self-directed environment
Travel 10 % of the time to visit potential suppliers, acceptance tests and benchmarking others facilities
Able to work flexible hours and be available for consultation as needed
Knowledge of National Electric Code, OSHA regulations and IEEE standards
Mechanical, electrical, leadership and engineering experience
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineer preferred
4 yr Engineering degree required
5-10 years project management experience
Electrical Safety Training, 138,000 volts and lower
1-3 years supervisory experience
Technical training on PLC's, drives, and breakers
5-10 years mill related experience
Training in project management
2-5yrs. special training on high voltage equipment
