We are hiring! Atkins seeks an Electrical Engineer to join our team in the Oakland/San Francisco, CA area. This candidate will be working on a wide range of Rail Projects with a major focus on Communications and Traction Power Systems.

How will you contribute to the team?
Provide Traction Power and rail systems support and coordinate with other Project Disciplines.
Review and respond Contractor's Requests for Information (RFI).
Review and respond to Contractor's submittals and shop drawings.
Coordinate, prepare and provide Work Plan planning for Construction.
Provide support for system shutdowns and other non-revenue work.
Coordinate Project resource allocation.
Provide support for pre-construction activities and construction oversight.
Provide support with design, including reviewing and preparation of plans.
Responsible for being a Liaison for between the Project and the Metro Engineering and Operations.
Provide support for procurement estimates and quantities.
Provide technical support to field issues, Project commissioning, as-built documentation, etc.
Potential to transition to future design roles as opportunities allows including traction electrification, communications and train control: developing concepts of operations, system requirements, design plans, calculations and specifications.
What will you contribute?
B.S. in Engineering. This level may be achieved by Engineers with 2 years experience since B.S. or 1 year since M.S. The typical incumbent has 3 to 5 years experience since Bachelor's degree.
Good interpersonal skills and capable of developing technical writing, and communications skills. PC and CAD skills preferred.
E.I. or EIT desired with a path to achieve PE.
Teamwork and communications skills with other team members, engineers, contractors and upper management.
Experience in rail electrification, rail systems or rail projects a plus.
Rail systems design, construction and commissioning experience a plus

Pay Range: $120 - 180k
