Reporting to the Executive Director, Human Resources, the HR Project Analyst, is responsible for overseeing PJM HR programs related to talent acquisition, career development, engagement, performance, recognition and employee appreciation. The project analyst will work closely with PJM employees across divisions to coordinate these programs. In addition, the HR Project Analyst will collaborate with HR team members to provide analytical ad-hoc support. Flexibility, solid customer service skills, attention to detail and strong organizational skills are required and expected of this position.
Essential Functions:
Design, implement and manage HR programs, policies, procedures and initiatives to support organizational objectives.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of HR programs to ensure they meet company goals and employee needs.
Recommend improvements and adjustments to existing programs based on feedback and best practices.
Communicate all aspects of HR programs with HR and leadership and develop effective communication strategies to drive employee awareness and engagement.
Manage the goal setting and performance management process in Workday including the cascading of goals to employees, creation of mid-year and year-end performance appraisals forms, analysis of performance ratings, communication plan and employee support.
Present an overview of the performance management process to new managers and provide ongoing support.
Manage the Employee Voice surveys that are designed to elicit frequent and actionable feedback from employees to shape PJM's culture and improve our organization. Manage Board and Executive Team surveys.
Manage leadership assessments and 9 Box assessments that assist in the development of talent.
Manage the Mentoring Program to provide the opportunity for mentees and mentors to share insights and engage at a one-on-one level to foster development and relationships that create inclusion and belonging.
Manage the Corporate Rotation Program (CRP) which enables talented college graduates to start their professional career at an accelerated rate and increases the talent bench in critical business areas. Coordinate the event to interview and select candidates. Coordinate rotation placements, training, special assignments, mentoring, idea sharing and volunteer events.
Coordinate employee appreciation and recognition programs including administering the Awardco reward and recognition platform that provides points for onboarding, THANK$, Energy Buck$, service milestones, and retirement celebrations as well as peer-to-peer recognition and birthday acknowledgments.
Develop, review and update HR policies and procedures with input from the HR team to reflect current best practices and legal requirements. Communicate policies and procedures clearly to employees.
Prepare and manage communication of employee hellos, good-byes, job changes and service anniversaries.
Manage required EEO-1 reporting
Train to provide backup for the HR Analyst II's role.
Provide support as needed to the HR team for any additional HR programs and projects.
Create communication plans, collateral, schedules, desk procedures as well as other documents in support of HR efforts and programs.
Characteristics and Qualifications:
Required:
BS, Human Resources or At least 5 years of experience in Human Resources
BS, Business Administration or At least 5 years of experience in Human Resources
At least 5 years of experience in Human Resources
Ability to produce high-quality work products with attention to detail
Ability to visualize and solve complex problems
Experience using effective verbal and written communications skills
Experience with HR processes and data
Experience with HR rules and regulations regarding sensitive information and its dissemination
Preferred:
0-5 years of experience with Workday HRIS
0-5 years of experience with an HR certification (e.g. SPHR)
Experience with PJM operations, markets, and planning functions
