Software Developer (Engineering)
Overview
Crestron Electronics is looking for talented associate developer to join our exciting, fast-paced, agile development team. Our development team is responsible for maintaining multiple enterprise-level web applications, such as Crestron's Online Ordering, Quoting solution and configuration applications. This is a global development team with team members located in India and Belgium, internationally, as well as Plano, TX nationwide — everyone is a thinker, a problem-solver, and plays a critical role in ensuring the success of development projects.
Responsibilities
- Participate in scrum meetings with agile development teams
- Participate in sprint grooming, planning, and retrospective ceremonies
- Collaborate with team members on designing and developing creative solutions to complex problems
- Participate in developing and maintaining new and existing applications by writing code on web application frameworks along with best-in-class CRM platform and Online Ordering solution.
- Troubleshoot and Fix application-level bugs
- Participate in knowledge sharing activities with peers and managers regarding functional and technical knowledge as well as implementing development standards.
- Participate on project teams for cross-functional and integrated system development.
- Support new and existing applications
- Works with minimal supervision and provides team leads with recommendations for issue resolution as well as implementing fixes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. In lieu of degree, 1+ years of business and technical experience required.
- A minimum of 1 year of work-related experience required.
Technical Skills
- Practical knowledge of Agile Software Development (Scrum/SAFe)
- Object-oriented design/SOLID design principles
- Knowledge of Salesforce CRM
- HTML5/CSS3
- jQuery/jQueryUI/JavaScript
- C#/NET 4.5 and up preferred
- MVC 5 preferred
- Visual Studio 2017 and up
- Experience or Knowledge of Low Code Solutions, such as Outsystems, is a plus
- Knowledge of Angular 8 or above is a plus
- Knowledge of C# 7 or above is a plus
