About the Position:
As a CNC Operator I, you will set up and operate various CNC's, special-purpose machines to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up machines and monitor them for unusual sounds or vibration
- Manually lift material onto machines
- Set up, operate, and tear down manual, automatic, or computer numeric controlled (CNC) machine tools
- Calculate dimensions using measuring instruments
- Install, align, secure, and adjust cutting tools and workpieces
- Turn, deburr, mill, drill, shape, and grind machine parts to specifications
- Monitor the feed and speed of machines
- Adjust cutting machine settings to account for irregularities
- Stop machines and remove finished products
- Test and measure finished products
- Remove and replace dull cutting tools
- Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out–of tolerance machining
- Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications
Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements
- Ability to communicate with employees, peers, supervisors, vendors, and internal customers in an effective manner
- Ability to perform basic math calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to communicate with employees, peers, supervisors, vendors and customer is an effective manner
Education and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic understanding of the English language
- General machining experience preferred
Hourly: $19 - $26 depending on experience
