Responsibilities of the Director of Construction & Facilities
On a daily basis this person will work directly with Principle Auto's ownership to create and draft overall design and project plans for new construction and ongoing facilities maintenance. The Construction Director will work closely with all teams including operations, marketing, IT, and accounting to ensure that all aspects of a project are communicated with key stakeholders. This will be accomplished with the following:
Manage all aspects related to the construction process from concept and design through final build.
Oversee and manage general contractors, vendors and subcontractors in multiple projects at different stages in the process.
Manage the process for RFPs and the criteria for awarding bids to contractors to meet cost, timing and final product requirements.
Supervise ongoing work within the construction process to ensure that all work is in accordance to the project scope, deadlines, budget and overall delivery of the company's vision and goals.
Proactively provide regular updates to key stakeholders on project progress, areas of concern and solutions to unanticipated complications.
Manage day to day operations of the facilities team and dispatch for ongoing maintenance and upkeep of the organization's existing facilities.
Review facilities ticketing system on a regular basis to ensure timely response by maintenance team of open repair requests, and proper priority dispatch and resolution to open tickets.
