Director, Global Publications (Project Management)
Job Description:
The Director, Global Publications, is responsible for developing and executing global strategic publication plans including, but not limited to, publication planning, congress abstracts/posters/presentations, peer-reviewed journal publications, consensus guidelines, scientific and medical materials to communicate scientific data and ensure consistent messaging across regions/functions/channels.
Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Global Medical Communications, this role creates evidence-based content and communicate scientific data in a timely and compliant manner in collaboration with cross functional stakeholders including Global Medical Affairs functions, R&D, Legal, Marketing, and regional Medical Affairs to support the organizational and departmental objectives.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Professional experience:
5+ years' experience in scientific research or medical writing (Required)
7+ years industry experience related to scientific communications or publications (Required)
3+ years' experiences in digital medical communications (Required)
Education:
Certified Medical Publication Professional (CMPP) or medical writing certification (Preferred)
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
Working knowledge of the medical device/pharmaceutical regulatory and compliance environment (Required)
Strong project and time management skills. Capable of managing multiple projects. Strong prioritizing skills (Required)
Excellent medical writing and editing skills with strong attention to detail (Required)
