CTP SITE LOGISTICS OPERATIONS MANAGER (Architecture)

We are looking for a talented CTP- Site Logistics Operations Manager, join our Cummins Turbo Technologies team in Ladson, South Carolina U.S.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Provides operations leadership for small or medium size warehouse or Distribution Center, shift or department. Manages multiple shifts of warehouse operations including transportation and packaging. Provide safe working environment for all CMI & contract employees. Ensure internal and external customer requirements are met thru the Cummins Operating System (COS).
  • Responsible for ensuring Cummins values are present in the plant. This includes championing diversity, community involvement and right environment initiatives.
  • Support Corporate Supply Chain initiatives and lead the cross Business Unit planning processes to ensure intra-company alignment.
  • Manage, coach, and develop staff; work with employees to set goals in training and development, performance, and career planning. Overall Leadership Responsibility of one or multiple Parts Distribution or Logistics Centers.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience.

Skills

  • Supply Chain Knowledge - Influences, with the ability to concisely explain and/or elaborate on, the multi-disciplined and end-to-end integration of the flow of information, products, and services to achieve the desired result for the end customer within the first-fit or aftermarket business segments while balancing the tensions of inventory, cost, and delivery.
  • Mode Selection - Evaluates and selects appropriate transportation mode and equipment type by lane through shipment volume analysis against business requirements to provide optimal shipping method (balance cost, quality and time).
  • Warehouse Operations - Utilizes warehousing tools, systems, and methodologies to meet defined metrics for inbound and outbound operations of a warehouse.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field. MBA preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
