SUMMARY: The Sr. BIM (Building Information Modeling) Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the BIM processes throughout the design and construction phases of electrical projects. This role ensures that the BIM execution plan is followed, that all BIM models are accurate, and that they align with project requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in BIM coordination, collaboration with internal teams, and the ability to deliver high-quality, error-free models in a timely manner. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Lead and manage the BIM process from pre-construction through to project delivery. 

• Coordinate BIM models and ensure they align with project specifications, scope, and timeline. 

• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and designers to ensure smooth integration of the electrical system into the overall project model. 

• Maintain and update BIM models to reflect changes made during design and construction. 

• Resolve any conflicts or discrepancies in the BIM model through collaboration with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders. 

• Review and ensure that all BIM documentation, such as model files, drawings, and specifications, are accurate and complete. 

• Conduct clash detection and work with the team to address and resolve issues. 

• Provide technical support and BIM training to team members and project stakeholders. 

• Ensure that the BIM model complies with project and company standards, as well as industry best practices. 

• Collaborate with the project team to ensure timely and efficient project delivery, managing the BIM process to meet deadlines. 

• Maintain a system for organizing and archiving BIM files and related project documentation.  

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION: 

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred. 

• 5+ years of experience in BIM coordination, preferably within the electrical or construction industry. 

• Extensive knowledge of BIM software, including Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and other relevant tools. 

• Experience with clash detection, model coordination, and issue resolution. 

• Strong understanding of construction processes, electrical systems, and coordination within a BIM environment. 

• Proficiency in BIM software and tools (Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, etc.). 

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. 

• Strong organizational and time-management skills. 

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. 

• Attention to detail and accuracy in BIM model coordination.
