Role description:

Arcadis is seeking an Entry Level Environmental Engineer to support our Integrated Sustainability and Compliance (ISC) business line. As an Environmental Engineer in ISC you will play a vital role in supporting environmental or health and safety compliance policies. You will participate in site visits, audits, trainings, and meetings. Additionally, you will be involved in data collection and analysis to support client project initiatives. Furthermore, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assist in the development of technical plans. Overall, the role involves practical application of environmental health and safety principles and fosters professional growth within the field.

This role sits within Resilience. In the Global Business Area of Resilience, we work to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations. As part of our Environment, ISC team, you'll help improve quality of life. With your specialism in environmental engineering your work could involve helping our clients with solutions that sustain their operational excellence by reducing incidents and improving compliance, operational performance, culture and asset value.

Role accountabilities:

  • Support environmental or health & safety compliance policies, programs, procedures, and management systems.
  • Assist program managers performing data analytics to support client project initiatives, data trends and risks.
  • Assist with site visits, audits, trainings, and meetings.
  • Review and evaluate regulatory permits and associated documentation
  • Assist with the development of technical plans (e.g. spill prevention control and countermeasure plans, stormwater pollution prevention plans, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, Hazardous Waste Contingency Plans).
  • Work both independently and with a team to provide our clients with solutions to their EHS&S compliance needs.
  • Support Arcadis team members in producing high quality work products for our clients.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) or related discipline.
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in Environmental Health and Safety.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior internship in the environmental field.

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. These benefits include medical, dental, and vision, EAP, 401K, STD, LTD, AD&D, life insurance, paid parental leave, reward & recognition program and optional benefits including wellbeing benefits, adoption assistance and tuition reimbursement. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $49,390 - $79,023 / year. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and location.
