Sheet Metal Worker I (CRL) (Manufacturing)

Position Summary
This position requires the individual to perform general labor of shearing, deburring and forming aluminum and stainless steel. This position requires individual to obtain material from material carts and place them in a shear press or break press. This position requires employees to read orders and obtain material to prepare for fabrication of sheet metal operations.
Safety
- To avoid injuries to hands, back and neck, proper ergonomics should be maintained while working at workstation.
Qualifications
- Excellent coordination and mechanical skills
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Employee reviews orders and prepares for shears, deburring and break press process from obtaining material from material carts
- Operates and maintains Press machines
- Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to ensure accurate production
- Maintains inventory of completed products
- Maintains a safe and clean workstation
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
- Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.
Education and Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with machine tools or mechanical assembly
- Working knowledge of safety protocols
- Apprenticeship or vocational training preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be detail oriented, organized, and have problem-solving and reasoning skills
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions
Hourly: $18 - $22 depending on experience
