Provide analytical and sales support to the internal head-quarters Sales Team. Utilize all available data to develop reports and tools to monitor and manage the business, and provide actionable insights to the team. Collaborate with Sales Planning, Trade Marketing, and Revenue Management on customer/brand risks and opportunities. Help develop and maintain sales growth and trade spend targets for top customers/channels. Support customer facing activities as needed.
Responsibilities:
Perform ongoing detailed monthly review and provide key reports and feedback to Sales team as needed.
Monitor trade spending by brand and customer to ensure plans are within approved budgets
Support Sales Team in trade promotion analytics; syndicated data reporting, retailer trade ROI analyses, trade deductions, etc.
Utilize Nielsen information to conduct analysis and evaluation of spending effectiveness and profitability of specific trade programs, as well as retailer and category sales drivers.
Perform ad-hoc analyses and data pulls that may be requested by the VP of Sales or Sales Team.
Participate in planning meetings with Sales Planning, Marketing and Sales Team and support discussions and key follow-ups.
Partner with Marketing and Finance as needed on full P&L impact for key initiatives
Support alignment of business targets to deliver company financial goals (i.e. annual sales and trade rate objectives by customer). This includes developing and evolving a B&G customer segmentation model.
Sales Analyst may perform ad-hoc evaluation for any customer or brand, such as sales analytics, trade spend proposal requested by Sales Team. He/She will assess based on current situation, provide data and insight to support and make necessary recommendations to Sales Management.
Skills, Experience, Education:
Bachelor's Degree required
1-3 years of relevant analytical work within a CPG company required
Proficiency in the entire Microsoft Office Suite required
Must possess excellent decision making skills
Ability to multi-task projects and continually prioritize workload as customer and internal demands require, ensuring deadlines are met
Excellent time management and organizational skills required
Strong Project Management Capabilities
Basic skills in AC Nielsen required
Proven Analytical skills required
