Global Manager, BAC Excellence (Finance)



POSITION PURPOSE

The Global Manager, BAC Excellence is responsible for continuously improving, deploying and monitoring a global world class manufacturing system that minimizes waste and optimizes value. This hands-on leader possesses a high level of lean expertise and influencing skills which is used to guide BAC's global operations teams to embrace standards, best practices, and improvement methodologies. This leader provides coaching and mentoring for Continuous Improvement teams and plant personnel of all levels to strengthen overall organizational capabilities.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Deploy and drive improvements to the elements of the BAC Excellence Program (BAC X)
  • Ensure KPIs are aligned with business goals and support the setting of aggressive targets
  • Maintain, analyze, and drive for plan KPI results
  • Ensure the most effective balance of global standardization vs. regionally autonomy
  • Coach and mentor leaders across the business to strengthen organizational capabilities
  • Embed lean tools throughout the Operations organizations
  • Develop and maintain a report with plant leaders to maintain transparency about improvement opportunities
  • Facilitate and train others to conduct improvement workshops including Value Stream Mapping, 5S and Kaizen
  • Garner executive support for improvement opportunities using strategic thinking and clear communication
  • Ensure plant and regional buy-in for enhancements to BAC X while accelerating deployment.
  • Prepare for and lead monthly Management Reviews for all regions globally
  • Lead Annual BAC X Site audits at all manufacturing plants globally
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a relevant field required
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing in operations and continuous improvement roles
  • Demonstrated experience with implementation of continuous improvement programs (Lean, TPM, etc.) across multiple global sites and diverse cultures
  • Experience managing / deploying Lean principles in a high mix, low volume, environment
  • Deep knowledge of lean tools and their application in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to influence and coach global teams with a focus on value creation and waste elimination.
  • Exceptional communicator, especially with individuals whose first language is not English
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to tie financial results to operational performance
  • Willing to shift between strategic work and executing tactically
  • Courage to have difficult discussions with groups from all levels of the organization
