Exercise Physiologist (Personal Services)
Responsible for the daily operations of the cardiopulmonary rehab exercise program equipment area. Position also responsible for assisting Participants with equipment orientations. Monitor Telemetry, provide participants guidance in safe and proper usage of all fitness equipment, performing preventive wellness assessments, baseline assessments, organize and implement programs pertaining to cardiopulmonary rehab and attend health fairs/outside events representing Augusta Health Cardiopulmonary Rehab Program. Exercise physiologist will also provide education to inpatients discussing cardiovascular risk factors, cardiovascular diagnosis, and benefits to attending the Phase II Cardiopulmonary Rehab Program. Must also be able to lead group education and group exercise classes. Exercise Physiologist must be able to communicate effectively to Physicians, Staff and other disciplines. Exercise Physiologist must be efficient in performing patient admissions, discharges and Individual Treatment Plans. Position must be able to perform a 6 Minute Walk Test and provide oxygen therapy. Other duties include: Taking Blood Pressures, Palpate pulse, Pulse Ox saturation and perform blood glucose check on ACCU-CHEK. Pass Basic EKG and Advanced EKG tests.
