Job Description
Duties:
Build and maintain the cloud data platform that support data integrations. Build data pipelines to share data enterprise data, designing and building an AWS data lake with appropriate data access, data security, data privacy and data governance.
Use agile engineering practices and various data development technologies to develop creative and efficient data products.
Work closely with the Data Architects, Security, Infrastructure and SVB Cloud team to enhance the Data platform design, identify a backlog of tech debts in line with identified upgrades, provide and implement technical solutions.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Computer Information Systems or related field and 5 to 7 years of experience in job offered or related occupation.
Position requires:
Experience in maintaining the cloud infrastructure and managing platforms usage and sizing for these services. Experience in managing Data Engineering related AWS services like Lake formation, Glue, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB and other AWS accelerators. Cloud Environment Experience (AWS Preferrably), Openshift and Kubernetes or Docker knowledge would be nice to have Experience in designing & building infrastructure as a code script that support our data platform needs [Terraform or other IAC] CI/CD pipelines - Gitlab [preferred], Jenkins, AWS Code, DevOps skills. Version Control software like Git Experience with maintaining public cloud-based data platforms especially for robust fail-over & high availability. Experience in designing data privacy related constructs to enable data tokenization, encryption & data access controls on a public cloud data lake.
