WHO YOU ARE

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the management of the Human Resources functions to include employee relations, recruitment, benefits, leave management, system administration, worker's compensation, and policy implementation and interpretation.  This position works in partnership with the Operations Team to ensure the maintenance of company culture and ongoing positive employee relations. 

WHERE YOU WILL WORK

At our ClosetMaid World Head Quarters in Ocala, FL.

A 600,000 sw. ft. manufacturing facility, with office building along-side the facility.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Manage the recruiting for positions at our manufacturing facility, utilizing various sources, to fulfill staffing needs.
  • Manage the orientation of and monitor performance of new employees during probationary period of employment
  • Conduct training & organizational needs assessments to maintain, improve, and develop on-going organizational development programs
  • Manage the Disciplinary Appeal Policy
  • Manage any applicable Unemployment Claims
  • Coordinate Employee Relations concerns, investigate as needed and consistently maintain positive associate relations
  • Coordination of benefits: medical based programs, FMLA and short-term disability
  • Manage the fair and consistent administration of policies
  • Manage the integration of present human resources office procedures into electronic data processing systems in support of human resources administration and projects
  • Ensure the administration of the Workers' Compensation program for the facility 
  • Ensures adherence to all federal, state and local regulations
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to achieve cost containment and cost reductions
  • Forecast and maintain Human Resources budgets based on business needs

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors' degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • PHR preferred
  • 5+ Years of experience managing a human resources team
  • 5+ Years' experience in manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Experience working with an HRIS systems (UltiPro/UKG experience preferred)
  • Experience with employee relations management and investigations
  • Must have positive attitude and be employee focused
  • Leadership skills: organize and direct the activities of the human resources team to ensure high quality service and consistency
  • Communication Skills: well skilled in listening and effectively interacting with all team members and ability to present to small and large audiences
  • Exceptional system skills including the Microsoft Office Suite. (Outlook, Word. PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Strong knowledge of HR Compliance requirements pertaining to OSHA, FMLA, COBRA, STD, AAP, EEO, ADA, FLSA and Worker's Compensation.
  • Ability to properly maintain confidential or sensitive information
  • Ability to organize and direct a project to completion utilizing given tools, resources, and deadlines
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to adapt to change in the workplace
