Responsibilities:
Make sure production equipment and surrounding areas are clean and sanitary before next day production.
Possess skills and knowledge to effectively clean each production line and piece of equipment on the lines, including running the CIP system.
Keep tools and equipment clean, in good working order and properly stored.
Use chemicals for cleaning.
Operate sanitation department equipment in a safe and proficient manner
Operate a forklift and genie boom in a safe and proficient manner.
Perform self-inspection on each task before moving to the next.
Keep all storage areas clean and in good order.
Notify Sanitation Supervisor immediately of any damage to plant or sanitation equipment or tools.
Keep all documentation current, up-to date and properly filed
Work safe and report all unsafe working conditions and/or unsafe acts to supervisor immediately.
Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices.
Responsible to ensure food safety/quality polices are followed, to report all food safety/quality problems out of his/her realm of responsibility to personnel with the authority to initiate action.
Responsible to make sure a good safe wholesome product is produced safely.
Minimum Experience:
High School Diploma
Manufacturing sanitation experience 3-5 years
Ability to operator forklift and aerial lifts
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to read and understand Chemical Safety Data Sheets.
Knowledge of chemical use and handling.
Ability to become LO/TO authorized user.
Ability to read and perform basic mathematical calculations.
