Coord, Safety Compliance 1 (Project Management)



Here's What You'll Get To Do

  • Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, local, and company safety regulations.
  • Monitor facility (at least daily) and processes for adherence to OSHA guidelines and the elimination of industrial incidents.
  • Work closely with the local HR Representative, Corporate EH&S staff, and insurance company to manage all workers' compensation claims.
  • Maintain the company's incident database and ensure monthly safety audits are completed.
  • Ensure all new hires' annual safety training is completed and documented in the database.
  • Conduct monthly leadership and plantwide safety meetings.
  • Maintain all other safety-related records such as waste records following all federal, state, local, and company requirements.
  • Coordinate outside services such as alarm, fire, and safety supplies.
  • Ensure all safety binders, including the SDS binder, are kept up to date.
  • Ensure full compliance of fleet safety responsibilities including smart drive, Velocity, Safety Source, DOT, Driver DQ documents, and driver ride-along.
  • Call daily truck routes/shipping calls.
  • Support and schedule Will Calls.
  • Build and communicate routes daily with drivers.
  • Maintain admin functions supporting the Shipping department i.e. receiving, fuel receipts, PMs, etc.
  • Support monthly inventory process.

Here's What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years of safety experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize work and deliveries
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and math aptitude  
  • Previous computer experience recommended

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to consistently stand/walk on concrete floor wearing steel-toe boots with met guards
  • Ability to frequent repetitive use of wrist/hand/fingers/shoulder/elbow
  • Ability to occasionally bend/twist, carry, kneel/crawl, climb stairs/scaffold/ladders, reach
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment without temperature control, subject to general climate conditions of the region
