R&D Ops Specialist (Architecture)
The Research & Development Operations Specialist is a multifunctional role supporting several different areas of the business. Responsibilities will include those under finance, contracts, clinical trials and device transfers.
Responsibilities:
eContracts - Responsible for the eContract processing for MDIC Engineering (R&D and NPI). Create new supplier form; enters SOWs; Monitor contract expiry date and follow up as necessary.
Purchase Order Management - Responsible for PO management for Engineering in Ariba system. Receive quotes, enter purchase requests, ensure compliance with budgets and Merz Purchasing Policy. Assist with capital expenditure forms. Work closely with business budget owners /MDIC site controller to ensure invoices are approved and processed timely for payment. Follow up and respond to vendors in a timely manner.
Financial Systems - As the subject matter expert (SME) for Ariba and eContracts, provide training and support for invoice approval and reconciliation processes.
Month-End (ME) Closing and EBIT Review - Send monthly accrual reminder to design partners. Coordinate with various suppliers and departments on ME accruals. Assist in ME closing procedures by preparing necessary reconciliations and JEs. Support R&D EBIT review and attend meetings to ensure budgets are correctly tracked.
Month End Closing - Support corporate month end by running reports from FedEx and SAP to collect all DE VAT Tax paid to freight suppliers. Process refunds (create journal entries (JE) to isolate charges; send amounts, invoice copies and JE info to corporate.)
R&D Component and Device Transfer and Quarantine - Assist NPI Team with SAP Material number creation. Receive components or devices from Suppliers or WI into quarantine. Maintain documentation for traceability /quality purposes Create account receivables transactions when product and invoices arrive. Track all expenses for correct IO budgets.
Clinical Trial Administration – Manage Filler and Ultherapy clinical trial supply logistics from WI to US investigational sites.
Other R&D needs - Support additional R&D operation needs as assigned.
