If you are a MANUFACTURING OR OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our RACINE, WI location, you will direct, coordinate and schedule the activities to maintain proper equipment operation required to produce manufactured parts and products. You will supervise a team of 15-20 manufacturing technicians.
AS THE SUPERVISOR - MANUFACTURING TECHNICIANS, YOU WILL:
Direct, supervise, schedule, and assign equipment-improving activities. Responsible for equipment uptime on all shifts.
Analyze and diagnose equipment deficiencies; develop the necessary action plans to provide repairs/replacements that are the most cost-effective and minimize interruptions to manufacturing operations and production schedules.
Coordinate machine activities, as required, with Technical Supervisor, outside vendors, suppliers, manufacturing engineers, and manufacturing supervision/management relating to installation and preventative maintenance activities.
Interact with manufacturing department supervision and quality personnel to institute corrective action to prevent repeat problem occurrences.
Oversee and coordinate procurement and installation of machine/equipment replacement parts.
Be responsible for department productivity and “KPI” (Key Productivity Indicators) data tracking measures to assist in managing department productivity, overtime and PM compliance.
Participate in activities to assist in ensuring safe working conditions for technician personnel and facility employees.
Be responsible for quality of parts/components produced by equipment that is covered by technician personnel.
Provide leadership, coaching, guidance, training and staff development.
Plan and evaluate employee performance; counsel and discipline employee as necessary, and monitor time and attendance of subordinates.

SCHEDULE
We offer a Flexible Work Schedule where you will work with your manager to enjoy a work schedule that can flex with your life schedule. Typical hours for this first shift position are 7:00AM to 3:00PM.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Associate degree in Mechanical or Electrical Technology or completion of a formal state indentured apprentice program.
Minimum five (5) years technical experience in an industrial environment, of which a minimum of two (2) years experience as project leader or supervisor is required.
Working knowledge of personal computers utilizing spreadsheets, word processing, and database software.
Requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to interface with all levels of management, and skilled trades personnel.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Familiarity with fast-paced manufacturing environment
Experience troubleshooting systems, problem-solving, conducting root cause analysis for mechanical and electrical systems
Experience developing and implementing Preventative Maintenance (PM) plans
