Job Title:  Senior Procurement Operations Lead

Job Description:

Shipt, Inc. is seeking Senior Procurement Operations Lead for our Procurement Team. This role reports to the Director of Procurement Operations and supports various sourcing and procurement activities to help ensure projects are developed and executed in line with strategic business priorities. The team member is expected to work closely with internal stakeholders to resolve procurement and finance challenges across Shipt departments. This team member works with a high sense of urgency.  The team member drives and standardizes process improvements and presents innovative solutions to recurring purchasing, receiving, and/or invoicing issues.  The team member must be a team player willing to assist in areas outside of their direct responsibility and area of influence. This is a hybrid role that will be based out of our Birmingham, AL corporate office. 

Key Activities for this Role:

  • Work with other stakeholders to support development and execution of key procurement activities (e.g.- Sourcing Projects, Budget Reviews, Contract Compliance Reviews, etc.)
  • Issue requisitions and purchase orders through Shipt's Procure-to-Pay system
  • Support sourcing activities related to the purchase of technology products and/or services
  • Monitor and review contract agreements with external vendors to maintain ongoing relationships
  • Ensures the contract document accurately reflects the terms and conditions of purchase, including payment terms, freight terms, incoterms, and other key commercial items.
  • Analyze root causes of accounts payable exceptions and takes steps to resolve and prevent future errors
  • Ensure adherence to all safety, environmental, purchasing policies, and guidelines
  • Manage time to accomplish goals, prioritizes a variety of tasks with a sense of urgency
  • Use verbal and written communication skills to solve problems and provide status updates to internal stakeholders and suppliers

Experience/Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, or Accounting
  • Experience using Microsoft Office or Google Suite products is required
  • Experience working with Workday, SAP Ariba, Oracle, or comparable Procure-to-Pay systems is required
  • Experience in IT/Technology purchasing and management of software-as-a-service agreements is a plus
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to execute tasks with minimal business direction

Education: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field is required
  • Master's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business or related field is a plus
  • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or equivalent certification is a plus
