Senior Program Manager (Fort Collins, CO or Houston, TX OR San Jose, CA) (Project Management)

As part of the Unified Customer Experience Team, you will lead and support teams through the User Experience Design Processes and the Product Development Lifecycle Processes as we build and evolve the platform by which we deliver our as-a-Service offerings.

We're looking for an experienced program manager, able to work collaboratively with multiple teams and stakeholders to identify requirements and objectives, drive short-term and long-term planning, and manage execution of UX research and design activities.  We need someone comfortable with strategic initiatives, experienced in both waterfall and agile program management methodologies, and ideally familiar with UX research and design processes.

How you'll make your mark:

  • You will lead and manage executive level initiatives involving multiple organizations and program teams to deliver a cohesive experience for HPE's portfolio of aaS products.
  • You will direct the development of overall program strategy, including requirements, schedules, critical deliverables, budget, resource allocation plan, and collective risks.
  • You may serve as a combination of Scrum Master and Product owner for supporting CX/UX initiatives
  • You will develop new plans from high-level objectives, ensure progress against those plans and make iterations based dynamic partner requirements and business needs.
  • You will communicate program progress, escalations, and issue/risk analysis to stakeholders, including senior managers and executives.
  • You will continuously improve efficiency and efficacy of the team and the initiatives you manage through innovation and integration of new program management methodologies.
  • You will lead and provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced program managers in the organization.

About You:

  • You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Design, Human Factors Engineering, Social Sciences Research, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent.
  • You have PMP/PMI certification and typically 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • You are creative, fun, passionate about customers, and eager to get things done.
  • You have experience leading as-a-Service transformational initiatives.
  • You have demonstrated success delivering programs through an entire lifecycle (initial concept through end-of-life). 
  • You have extensive experience using various project and program planning methods to create, manage, and track program results; you're specifically adept with Agile/Scrum/SAFe (Scaled Agile).
  • You have experience in Agile tools like Rally, JIRA, Agile Manager; prior experience as Scrum Master or Product owner a plus.
  • You have demonstrated business acumen and successful experience managing all aspects of programs, including communicating with stakeholders and directing matrixed teams and resources.
  • You have the ability to effectively communicate program plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at senior and executive management levels.
  • You have experience working with many organizations and functions, including marketing, GTM, Quote-to-Cash, channel partners, R&D, supply chain, and support services.
  • You have experience with Customer Experience and/or User Experience organizations or agencies and a passion for understanding customer/user needs.
  • You are able to work with globally distributed teams.
  • You are able to participate in limited travel as needed.
