JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Hire, train, schedule and manage kitchen staff to ensure proper coverage and see that all responsibilities are being met
Thoroughly price and source the best product possible for the best price possible
Work directly with suppliers, purveyors and representatives to make sure orders are placed when necessary so there is no interruption in food service
Receive all orders to ensure items are in order and properly stored in dry storage, walk in, freezer - ensuring proper rotation as well - keeping kitchen and all storage areas clean and organized
Coordinate and ensure linens, rugs/mats, uniforms, etc. are consistently ordered and delivered
Communicate regularly with FOH staff regarding service, menu details, special requests, customer needs, etc.
Provide excellent customer service to guests by checking in with their table to ensure they are satisfied with their meal and service
