Job Summary

This position is responsible for the overall shipping/receiving function, including administrative tasks. Position may be required to support of other related departments/functions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Load & unload flatbed/van trailers. Verifying all material is correct
  • Properly check all paperwork of goods received and shipped
  • Examine outgoing shipments to ensure packaging meets specifications
  • Responsible for the overall cleanliness of the yard
  • Help control inventory by following pick ticket rules and regulations
  • Responsible for material transfer and inventory rotation
  • Deliver paperwork to the office in a timely manner as well as communicate on a regular basis with office personnel
  • Operate shrink wrap machine
  • Compare identifying information and counts, weights, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify against the bills

    of lading, invoices, orders or other records

  • Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Job Requirements

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.   • High School diploma or GED
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Forklift certified
  • Occasionally hand stack pallets and ability to lift up to 80lbs on occasion
  • Frequent walking, climbing stairs, bending, crouching, standing, extending arms to reach, etc
  • Able to work in dusty, small, noisy, hot & cold environments
