The Reliability Lead's role is to lead the implementation, execution, and driving of continuous improvement in maintenance/reliability and development of TRs within their area of expertise. This position requires working closely with and supporting other supply groups, particularly quality and operations, to ensure consistent production quality, efficiency, and safety. The Reliability Lead will drive continuous improvement in maintenance operations, support project/CVS teams, co-ordinate training, and develop associates in their area of responsibility. They will partner with the maintenance planner and shift managers to make sure maintenance is performed efficiently. Leads must have in-depth knowledge of the entire maintenance area and be recognized as an expert in multiple technologies within the factory. The role requires strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, associate development, and team building skills to support site objectives.
Principal Accountabilities
Within the reliability leader's primary area of responsibility/expertise (make, pack, U&F):
Responsible for creation and execution of the technical training and development plan of all TRs
Input into overall PDP for TRs with their shift manager
Responsible for setup, bidding, coordination, and execution of advanced maintenance programs and WO's requiring contracted resources
Primary reliability resource for project and CVS teams; responsible for new PM creation, editing current PMs, parts registration, and technical training for TRs
Failure analysis of breakdowns; recommended corrective and preventative actions
Continuous improvement in PMs; used part inspection, PM frequency, PM improvements, and PM correctness
Assist TRs with PMs on down days to provide hands on training
Provide on call support for mechanical issues as needed when on shift TRs need help troubleshooting or performing repairs
Responsible for tracking/managing reliability budget and forecasting for future years
Support work of other area reliability leads due to high priority or high volume of work as needed
Spot checking of WOs to access proper completion and skill level of operators and TRs
Attend DOM and report necessary maintenance metrics, complete daily follow-ups
Networking within the segment and across segment
Be a self-starter, ability to stay on task and complete objectives with little day to day guidance
The ability to handle multiple priorities and complexity
Flow to work as needed to meet the business need

Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of experience in maintenance/reliability at Mars or equivalent elsewhere
Advanced mechanical and electrical skills
High school diploma or GED
Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
Ability to convey communications clearly and concisely
Understanding of major functions within the plant and the ability to work directly with all levels and functions
Ability to lead and develop other people
Able to deal with ambiguity effectively
Successful completion of a drug and background screen
Ability to work rotating shifts under stressful conditions such as heat, cold, heights, and/or confined spaces
Have full mobility with the ability to climb ladders and stairs
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of experience in maintenance/reliability at Mars
Previous experience leading teams or managing people
Previous maintenance/TR experience at NEA factory
3 to 5 years of experience in a TPM/technical, manufacturing environment
Demonstrated experience working in Quality
Demonstrated experience working in safety.
Functional knowledge and understanding of HACCP concepts
