Primary Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) (Healthcare)
The Primary Provider (NP or PA) is responsible for providing medical oversight, training, and direct client care across all Enlightened Recovery Facilities. They work in coordination with the Medical Director, Clinical Supervisor, Director of Nursing, and multidisciplinary team members. Works collaboratively with Multidisciplinary Treatment Team.Supervises and schedules all Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs)Provides mid-level provider coverage as needed in accordance with policy.Completes and documents H&P assessments within 24 hours of patient admission.Reviews lab orders, diagnostic impressions, and medication orders in a timely manner.Collaborates with Clinical Supervisor and treatment team on discharge planning.Provides on-call services to 24-hour nursing staff.Reviews and updates medications and prescriptions on admission.Documents clinical notes, medical orders, and treatment plans in EMR accurately and on time.Provides consultation to nursing staff regarding chronic disease, addiction, and mental health.Leads training for new medical tapers, CIWA/COWS assessments, and protocols.Shares pertinent medical information with team as received from clients and families.Ensures compliance with nursing and medical care standards.Serves as the primary contact and resource for all medical-related concerns.Reports abuse of clients' rights, suicidality, or homicidal ideation immediately.Performs other duties as assigned.
