SourceAmerica is looking for a talented Defense Policy Analyst to join its Vienna, VA-based team. Only candidates based in the greater Washington DC area will be considered.

Job Summary
Responsible for Government Affairs activities related to the Department of Defense under the leadership of the Vice President of Government Affairs. Responsible for strategizing execution of policy and advocacy priorities on Capitol Hill and with the Department of Defense and other relevant agencies. Responsible for leading policy advocacy strategy, and networking on all defense-related issues including procurement policy. Responsible for building and maintaining relationships and alliances with the Defense Department officials as well as members of the Executive branch. Responsible for building alliances with key House and Senate staff, including committee and personal staff, particularly the committees with jurisdiction over defense and DOD appropriations. Responsible for building alliances with key community stakeholders, to influence legislation, regulations and other policy that enhances employment of people with disabilities. Responsible for ensuring outside lobbying is effectively utilized through coordination and collaboration. Responsible for participation on informal Government Affairs teams and groups focused on driving the Government Affairs mission as effectively as possible.
