On Call Biologist (Finance)

RESPONSIBILITIES
Michael Baker is seeking multiple temporary Biologists for a project located in Northern California, specifically the counties of Alpine, El Dorado, Lassen, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Siskiyou, Tehama, and Trinity. The ideal Candidate for the Biologist position would have experience conducting a variety of field surveys, construction monitoring, habitat assessments, and focused surveys. Experience evaluating or conducting jurisdictional delineations will also be beneficial. The candidate should be able to effectively and accurately assess and describe project details in both routine communications as well as in survey reports. Experience working alongside operations or construction and around heavy equipment preferred.
The project will require daily fieldwork, up to 12 hour days, and work Mondays through Saturdays. Fieldwork is scheduled to start in October 2021 and extend approximately 18 months. Successful candidates will be part of a large field and office team, including biologists, planners, cultural resources specialists, water quality specialists, GIS specialists. There may also be opportunity to support other projects throughout California, depending on scheduling needs and the candidate's biological expertise.
