Brand Designer (Finance)



The Simmons Brand Designer is responsible for brand consistency across all channels, supporting campaign and initiative development, and delivering materials that promote team member engagement and retention. By aligning the brand with organizational goals, this role helps drive culture by delivering highly visible work that celebrates recognition, showcases company wins, and communicates with authenticity while reinforcing Simmons' culture of strong relationships.

Essential Position Responsibilities - This is a salary exempt position

Responsibilities include clearly communicating conceptual and visual ideas, as well as carrying them through to implementation and completion. Planning and completing work will include planning with outside vendors and partners, as well as managing these working relationships.

Proficient with Apple hardware, Adobe Creative Cloud for creative work and collaboration, an understanding of digital-first creative workflows, and use of Microsoft M365 for work presentation, file management, communication, and scheduling.

Participates as a member of the Team. Participates in the ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies; coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members. Attends appropriate team meetings. As a member of the Team, fosters strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues, e.g., direction, annual plan, budget, policy changes, etc. Accepts responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues and actively look for ways, and reinforce actions needed, to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization.

Simmons Operating systems principles and objectives: Is familiar with Simmons' established operating systems (e.g. quality, security, office environment, company policies, LEAN); understands the responsibility to maintain familiarity with the systems and this position's role in support of these systems - including a consideration of the impact of individual actions on the systems and the responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas.

Physical Activities: Sitting for extended periods while working at a computer or collaborating with team members. Using hands and fingers to operate Apple hardware, design tools, and office equipment. Occasionally moving or lifting light objects such as presentation boards, printed materials, or equipment (up to 25 lbs.). Walking short distances within the office, between meeting rooms, or around creative spaces. Visual acuity required for detailed design work and reviewing digital and printed materials. Occasional standing during presentations, workshops, or team meetings

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): As required by visiting facility.

Travel: Travel may be required as needed between facilities and offices on a local to regional basis. There will be occasions when travel to Simmons locations out of state is necessary and will be planned accordingly.

Technical Experience: 3-5 years' experience within a creative collaborative environment, studio or office, with direct experience or exposure with creative services across different mediums and channels

Industry Experience: Preference for manufacturing or food production

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related fields, or 4 years related work experience.
