Change Release Manager (Engineering)



Job Summary:

Allied World is seeking an energetic and detailed mined individual to manage and support our Change Release Management  process.

 The Change Release Manager (CRM) is accountable for the Release Management lifecycle and target the coordination of various aspects of production and projects integrated into a single solution.

 The position requires not only supporting the current environment but publishing a long-term roadmap towards automation and Continuous Deployment / Integration.   

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • The CRM ‘s main task is to communicate with the team regarding key project plans, commitments, and essential changes which include project requirements, schedule, scope changes, and QA plans. 
  • Coordinate with different project teams.
  • The careful managing of risks and resolving the issues that might hinder the project scope, quality, and timeline. 
  • Coordinate with the release engineers to understand the consequences of code merges and branches.
  • Their main responsibility is to work towards making improvements in the release process. 
  • Considering project development, integration, and deployment of software releases to different platforms, it becomes essential to develop scripts and automation tools. 
  • It's essential to take part in CCB meetings in order to discuss the CCB meetings to know about the release scope and hindrance blocking.
  • Their main responsibility is to maintain/uphold a release repository/source to manage key information like build and release procedures, notification lists, and dependencies.
  • To analyze current configuration management requirements, it is essential to research about latest configuration management and software development technologies.

 

 

  • Essential Skills:

     

     

     

    • Should possess advanced technical skills which include a thorough understanding of toggling features, branch handling, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
    • Should be capable of implementing suitable methodologies and practices.
    • Must be a self-starter with a great attitude, not afraid to take the initiative, and work with little supervision.

    ·       Ability to analyze and write business and technical specifications and interact with IT and auditor teams.

    • A degree in information technology/computer information systems or related.
    • 8 + years of work experience  in Applications Development,  Support and Release Management .    
    • Clear understanding of IT Operations, Software Development and Release Management using GitHub.
    • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills.
    • GitHub, Jira, MS Office, Visio, SQL, etc.

     

Compensation:

The below annualized base pay range is a broad range based on analysis of similar positions in the market.  The actual base pay for the position may be above or below the listed range and determined by a number of considerations, including but not limited to complexity, location, and scope of the role, along with experience, skills, education, training, and other conditions of employment.  Base salary represents one component of Allied World's comprehensive total reward package, which may also include annual incentive compensation rewards.

Salary Range: $150,000-$175,000
