Specialist - Purchasing Processes and Systems (Finance)
Schaeffler, a global automotive & industrial supplier, is seeking a Specialist - Purchasing Processes and Systems for our Charlotte Metro area (Fort Mill, SC) location. This position is responsible for maximizing efficiency of the Direct and Indirect Material Teams, as well as SDE, SQE, BU & Plant Purchasing functions by assessing business needs / wants and providing detailed systematic solutions.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
Participate in and evaluate team needs with regards to commercial reviews
Participate in and evaluate team needs with regards to operational reviews
Design and manage templates for reporting as required
Review processes and develop automated solutions for process improvement - (automation of orders, automation of reporting, etc.)
Data collection from SAP, Business Warehouse, SupplyOn, COUPA, and other Purchasing and Supplier Development related systems
Participate in regional initiatives such as FFQ, 5-S, Digitalization, etc.
Maintain monthly regional KPI dashboards and visualizations.
Identify weaknesses in Purchasing reporting tools and implement corrections
Communicate process/reporting deficiencies and corrections to regional Purchasing Management.
Align reporting within the NAFTA Region - Purchasing, Controlling, & Supplier Development
Qualified candidates will have:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT, Communications or related field or combination of education and experience
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Minimum 3-years experience as Business Analyst in a large Purchasing or Sales team
Previous exposure to financial / accounting processes
Ability to recognize others needs and offer solutions
Excellent PC skills ( Advanced MS Access, MS Powerpoint, Advanced MS Excel, SAP experience helpful)
Coding/Programming in SQL & VBA
SAP & Tableau experience highly desireable.
Ability to work independently and keep focused - produce results
