Purpose
~ The Senior Group Manager, Product Line Management-Genesis is the leader of the Genesis PLM team. Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned vehicle(s), which includes maintaining comprehensive, real-time knowledge of: sales performance at a national/regional/market level, inventory levels/mix, product/pricing/incentive competitiveness, marketing effectiveness, region/dealer engagement levels, competitor activity, and segment dynamics.
~ The department's key mission is to achieve revenue and share objectives and provide strategic direction on go-to-market strategies that optimize sales and profitability for assigned vehicle(s). Responsible as the lead Sales and Marketing stakeholder for product portfolio management and new product launch coordination.
Major Responsibilities
~ This position leads the Senior Manager, PLM-Genesis.
~ Proactively analyze performance of Genesis vehicle(s) relative to objectives, develop actionable recommendations to optimize performance across the levers listed below, and present to executive management at regular governance meetings.
~ Product Planning: Provide strategic input to ensure assigned vehicle(s) meets Sales and Marketing channel marketplace needs.
~ Strategy: Participate in development of vehicle positioning strategies and Key Selling Points (KSPs) for all-new, major change, and face-lift vehicles.
~ Marketing: Collaborate to ensure product concept, positioning, KSPs are clearly communicated and with consistency throughout all company-owned and 3rd party websites/channels.
~ Incentives: Collaborate to optimize competitiveness and support incentives planning meetings.
~ Pricing: Collaborate to identify opportunities to increase revenue.
~ Finance: Analyze and validate financial impact of recommendations.
~ Production: Partner with Distribution to ensure optimized trim mix and pipeline.
~ Sales Training: Collaborate to ensure KSPs are clearly communicated (ensure consistency with key marketing messages, positioning, and proper competitor comparisons).
~ Sales Operations: Operate closely with field leadership to collaborate, manage and optimize media messaging, incentives and provide strategic/tactical inputs to drive the monthly go-to-market plan.
~ Business Unit Management: Collaborate in setting business objectives for each vehicle. Identify key product, marketing and sales programs required to achieve objectives.
~ For assigned vehicle(s), oversee the Launch Committee Meetings to ensure cross-functional alignment and organizational readiness for new product launches.
~ Coordinate the creation of the monthly PRM/First Look material interacting with different Genesis departments and the field teams to report to leadership on model performance following each month's sales close.
Authority
~ Develop business case for product performance improvement recommendations.
~ Manage cross-functional teams and projects.
Education
~ Must be a high school graduate.
~ Bachelor's degree required.
~ Master's degree is a plus.
Related Experience
~ Minimum 10 years of professional experience at a manufacturer/distributor of consumer products with direct product responsibilities (planning, pricing, marketing, incentives, distribution, and/or sales). Automotive industry experience preferred.
~ Cross-functional project management experience is required.
~ Extensive data analysis experience and data visualization expertise required.
~ 5 to 7 years of supervisory experience desired.

~ Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
~ Experience with PIN, Maritz, GfK, IHS/Polk, Strategic Vision, Ace Metrix, Tableau, etc. studies/tools a plus.
Physical requirements
