The Outpatient Addictions Counselor will address the needs of outpatient chemical dependency clients who need assessment for chemical dependency and/or extended treatment for these and related issues, while providing an atmosphere of mutual respect and trust. This person will be the primary counselor for outpatients providing individual, family, and group counseling for the youth. The direct service goal of this position is to develop individual treatment plans and to provide counseling to meet the goals of strengthening the youth's ability to maintain a chemically free lifestyle and improve chemically dependent adolescents' level of functioning in the community. The counselor will provide individual counseling to each client at least weekly. The counselor will be considered a member of the clinical staff and may be asked to participate in quality assurance and utilization review committees.
