Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversees the management of berthing, mooring, storage and servicing of boats within the marinaDirect, move, assist and securely moor vessels to dockDaily inspection and maintenance to provide a clean and safe facilityProvides the highest level of service to all members and guests, including expediting any and all requests from vesselsManage, train, and supervise dock staff while leading by exampleSafely operates Marina owned marine and land vehiclesAbility to multitask while also remaining professional in all situationsFirst line of customer service for incoming boatsResponsible for daily operations of marina docksEnsure safe fueling practices are being metSupervise renting of slips including transit activity and reservationsEnsures that Members and guests observe all marina rules and regulationsAbility to work weekends and holidaysAbility to work overtime as neededOther duties as assigned by Manager
Safety and Environmental Responsibilities
Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related trainingWear proper personal protective equipment (may include safety glasses, gloves, life jackets and/or hard hats) as required for the task or work areaReport all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately
Technical and Physical Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred2-5 years marina experience preferredAbility to work safely around the waterMust be able to swimAbility to lift 50 poundsBasic boat handling skills preferredKnowledge of dock construction and repair preferredKnowledge of basic power tools preferred
