Electrical Engineer II (Engineering)
The ACS Group is a privately held company that designs and manufactures one of the most comprehensive lines of auxiliary products for the plastics industry and other process industries. The ACS Group offers an expansive product line, which includes size reduction equipment (granulators and shredders), material conveying equipment, metering and blending devices, mold temperature control units, chillers, and drying systems.
ACS Group has manufacturing facilities in New Berlin, Wisconsin and Wabash, Indiana with a third facility located in Suzhou, China to handle the needs of the Asian market.
ACS Group is currently seeking an Electrical Engineering II based in our New Berlin, WI location. The Electrical Engineer II is responsible for the design, Research & Development, and testing of the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems.
A successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Lead moderately complex electronic controls development for industrial process cooling, heating, fluid and material handling equipment
- Investigate and implement the latest technologies for electrical and controls system
- Develop standards for drawings and documentation
- Develop and implement testing plans as required
- Provide technical support for Sales, Manufacturing, and Service departments
- Other duties as assigned
- BS Electrical Engineering degree and/or 5-7 years of experience
- Incumbent should have 3-5 years of experience leading moderately complex electrical engineering projects in a team environment
- Solid background in control of industrial processes
- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical
- Experience with PLC and data acquisition hardware and software
- Experience with communication protocols including Ethernet and Modbus
- Some knowledge of UL/CSA/ESA/CE standards
- Excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Must display ownership of project(s), including the willingness to work hands-on with assemblers in plant
